Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the exploration, production, refining, transportation, and sale of oil and natural gas in India and internationally.
The company primarily operates in the western offshore basin, Mumbai; western onshore basin, Baroda; K.G. basin, Rajamundry; Cauvery basin, Chennai; Assam and Assam-Arakan basin, Jorhat; CBM- BPM basin, Kolkata; and the Frontier Basin, Dehradun, India.
Its offshore exploration projects principally comprise interests in the Vietnam prospect covering the reserves of 2.04 TCF, Sakhalin-1 prospect in Russia, Greater Nile Oil Project in Sudan, and Shwe prospect in Myanmar.
The company's products comprise crude oil, liquefied petroleum gas, natural gasoline/naphtha, ethane/propane, aromatic naphtha, kerosene oil, heavy-cut, low sulphur heavy stock, motor spirit, and high speed diesel.
It also produces other products, such as C2-C3, liquefied petroleum gas, naphtha, and SKO.
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation owns and operates approximately 11,000 kilometers of pipelines in India, including approximately 3,200 kilometers of subsea pipelines.
In addition, it retails oil and natural gas.
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation had proved reserves of 754.467 million metric tons of oil equivalent, including 421.980 million metric tons of crude oil and 332.487 billion cubic meters of gas, as of March 31, 2005.
